Xiaomi is developing a new smartphone without buttons! It is expected to be launched in the first half of next year. The phone is codenamed “Zhuque”, and its most prominent feature will be the complete absence of traditional buttons.
It's not yet clear how Xiaomi will replace the buttons, but there are possibilities that point to the use of gesture control, pressure-sensitive edges, or even voice commands.
The phone will also feature an under-display selfie camera, which is expected to be better than the one found in current Samsung devices.
The Zhuque will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4 processor, the same processor that will power the Xiaomi 15S Pro, which is expected to launch between April and June 2025.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4 processor is expected to be an improved version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Scheduled to be released next October.
